Lucker Hall, Northumberland
Lucker will provide an excellent base from which to explore the Northumberland coast.

Horses are an integral part of life in Northumberland which is a region that has traditionally found a high employment in agriculture. Traditionally horses were used to help pull machinery like ploughs and also as a vital method of transport. Many bridle ways are still in operation in Northumberland that have been used for many ways. Today horses are no longer used as a working animal but still have a firm fixture in the region with the ever popular sport of horse riding. Many riding centres exist in the region including Kimmeston, Ferniehirst Hill and Shipley Lane. Fans of horse racing also have a location to visit. Hexham Racecourse is now the only course in the county and is close to the market town of Hexham. Races can be seen here in spring, early summer and in the autumn.
